SENIOR SCHOOL

GLOBAL CAMPUS AND PRESERVING NATIONAL IDENTITY

In Senior School the world view of our students becomes more profound through the programmes, and examination, of Global Perspectives at both the IGCSE and AS levels. Here, students are encouraged to pursue their own interests and investigate a wide spectrum of topics whilst maintaining appropriate research process and discipline.

FIELD TRIPS

Whilst the residential field trips of Middle School students concentrate on the contrasting coasts North and South of the country, those designed for Senior School students take them further afield into the high sierra and also the spectacular Peruvian Amazon rainforest.

SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

Senior students work closely during the year with a donation-funded school which provides learning, health, nutrition and week day accommodation for children of local families with limited income. The Christmas party in school is one of the highlights of the year.
Many Senior students join those from other Lima schools in the “Techo” project which involves them in building homes for families in poor communities on the outskirts of Lima. Participants are involved in planning and coordination processes, as well as the final construction of wooden houses on location.

MODEL UNITED NATIONS

Cambridge College has a thriving Model United Nations club, with frequent outstanding participation in many conferences at schools and universities around Lima, and even travelling as far afield as New York and China. The school has also led the way in the organisation of online conferences, being the pioneer of this format in Peru and, with our most recent conference, hosting a truly international virtual event including delegations from Inspired schools in Mexico and Italy.
