INTERNATIONAL GENERAL CERTIFICATE OF SECONDARY EDUCATION (IGCSE)

The first two years of Senior School prepare students for the important Cambridge University International examination in a wide range of subjects. At the end of their second year, in October and November, students write their International General Certificate of Secondary Education examinations and, if successful are awarded the corresponding certificate which is recognized throughout the English speaking world.

CERTIFICATE OF EDUCATION (AICE DIPLOMA)

In their fifth and final year of Senior School, students have the opportunity to follow the Pre-University programme, AICE Diploma, administered by Cambridge University.

The AICE Diploma is recognized for admission to universities in England and various English-speaking countries. Over 500 universities in the USA and over 50 in Canada recognize the Diploma for admission. In order to obtain the Diploma, students have to gain seven credits from passing examinations in subjects from different groups. Students can also receive certificates just for individual subjects. Global Perspectives is an obligatory subject.

Subjects offered by the school in the Mathematics and Sciences Group are:


Mathematics; Chemistry; Biology and Physics.

Subjects offered in the Languages Group are:


Spanish First Language; English Language and French Language.

Subjects offered in the Arts and Humanities Group are:


History; Geography; Business Studies; Art & Design.

The optional, Interdisciplinary Group includes:
